Q.3 What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

For our thriller I would use the institution called Paramount Pictures. This is because they are a well known institution that specialise in thriller films. Paramount Pictures were founded in 1912 and this year is their 100^th year anniversary. Paramount Pictures have their headquarters set up in Los Angeles and has lots of experience in the filming industry. Paramount Pictures have distributed many thriller films including the likes of “Shutter Island”, “Paranormal activity”, “Watchmen” and much more. This shows us that Paramount Pictures distribute great thriller films and would be able to make our thriller very popular. I would like this institution to distribute our thriller because our thriller suits Paramount Pictures style of films they distribute.

We choose a big American company to distribute our thriller because our thriller would get a lot more popularity due to the size of Paramount Pictures and America itself. We did not choose a small British company because we wanted to make sure that our thriller could be successfully publicised. Paramount Pictures would be able to do this better though as they have had a lot of success in the past by distributing lots of popular films.
