Q.4 Who would be the audience for your media product?
Below is a commentary video explaining our audience
Our audience will be the type of people who enjoy a creepy and psychological thriller with an interesting plot that will make you want to keep on watching. Our audience will also be people who are wanting a little bit of a twist in the thriller genre. We have done this through the gender reversal plot that will surprise a lot of people when they watch our thriller. A typical audience member who would watch our thriller would be about 16 years old, male and somebody who likes to watch thriller films with a mixture of conventional and unconventional features. The methods we used in order to find the relevant audience was to create two separate questionnaires and to research the audience’s knowledge of the thriller genre and the background knowledge into what makes a thriller successful.

Our thriller is going to be rated a “15”. This is because our thriller contains some scenes of violence that may upset the younger viewer’s. It is not so much the actual violence happening in our thriller but our thriller does suggest that scenes of violence have taken place.
