A thriller opening is very important in order to attract the audience to encourage them to carry on watching. Thriller openings are designed to thrill and capture the audiences emotions by using a powerful and dramatic opening. A good example of a thriller opening is from the film "seven". This is because the opening includes a person that is cutting off his fingerprints, crossing out stuff and overall getting rid of evidence. This gives the impression that he has probably committed a murder. Throughout the whole opening you do not see that persons face and you wonder who he is. This is one of the factors in the opening that make you want to keep on watching the rest of the film. Another example of a good thriller opening is from the film "Batman dark knight". This is becasue the opening is very good at building up the tension to a higher scale event. This again keeps the audience interested. The opening starts with an average bank robbery but as the opening progresses the plot starts to develop and the characters start to introduce themselves in terms of their appearence and what they do. This keeps the audience guessing and involved in the storyline. A link to the two thriller opennings on you tube are shown below. The top one is "Seven" and the bottom one is "Batman dark knight".This link is invisible on the page but it will appear when the cursor is below the first link
